Week 1: BE KIND!

The Christmas Kindness Kids, The Christmas Kindness Kids: Kindness Idea Book and Cami, Wyatt and Kindness Too.

The story behind The Christmas Kindness Kids by Elizabeth Wrage:

From the author:

"Have you gotten to December 25 in previous years and looked back on the month & only see busy, busy, busy? Have your children come to December 25 mostly excited just for the presents? That was us a few years ago...I worked full-time and found that we were hustling our way through Advent with little time or effort given to intentionality. As a full-time working mom, my focus was also on big gifts for the kids...likely to help compensate for the time I felt I was missing out on with them...and they were just as eager to receive them!

Enter The Christmas Kindness Kids. In 2015, I decided I wanted December to not only be a busy month (you really can’t avoid it), but one that also helped put focus back on Jesus as the Reason for the Season and being a gift to others. I couldn’t find exactly the interactive story I wanted to read for my girls...so I wrote my own! Four years later, I’ve decided to publish the rhyming story about being kind to others at Christmas and it's companion book with tear-out pages of kindness ideas your family can implement in December." -Elizabeth's Facebook Page

The story behind Cami, Wyatt and Kindness Too, by Stacy C. Bauer:

From the author:

"Cami, Wyatt and Kindness Too is my third book in the Cami Kangaroo and Wyatt Too children's book series. This book holds a special place in my heart, because it's all about kindness. It's an interactive activity book: coloring, writing, drawing, reading that encourages children to be kind to others. There are reproducible pages in the back for teachers and parents. I am a mom and a teacher and I believe that teaching children how to be kind is the MOST important thing we could ever teach them. I believe that every act of kindness, no matter how small, makes the world a better place."
